Empty Nest Is A New Life For Parents

Sunday, June 24, 2012

Each of us has a family on our own. It's well known as a group of people related to by blood, marriage or choice who lives together. It consists of parents and children sharing love, care, laughter. Hence, family is viewed as the foundation in the society. Our life is precious and we all learn life from the family that we all have.

In the book of life, every page has its own story. We definitely learn a lot from what we read once we try to review the pages. Humans are used to live a life with the loved ones' presence. Specifically from these three chapters of life: childhood, adolescence, adulthood. Hence, we all need healthy relationships that we all kept looking forward to make our life beautiful and memorable. People always experience hardships in life, just like any other fairytale books that have climax in its stories. It will not only refer to the problems you have within your daily life, but there are these things we find it very difficult to deal and accept since it's part of the cycle of life.

We should all be mindful that kids, as they mature, shouldn't be living with their parents. These children have their lives on their own. They'll be experiencing the cycle of life just like what their parents have gone through. Parents always remember those moments they wrap their children in their arms, keep an eye on them once they fell asleep and all the other special memories which are unforgettable. As time go by, children will grow and would love to explore the world they are residing in. Your role should be to guide them in their right paths, support them and to continue to love them even though you cannot hold them in your arms at all times as what parents do when they are still very young.

Parents would always wish their children to be with them until forever since children, as what everyone observed, mature so quickly. However, it is a thing that parents, especially the mothers, should accept. When children becomes dependent enough to live with their own capabilities, they always leave their houses. They get to explore life on their own, they search for a family by themselves. This is definitely what life is exactly about.

It's really a common situation that parents go through the empty nest syndrome. Never put in mind that this could put a negative impact on you. It would put you in the condition of depression; which will destroy your life. Do things that will make you see "empty nest" as an opportunity for you to explore much more about life. Hamby has 3 tips for those parents dealing with empty nest syndrome:

1. Now would be a good time to focus on activities that keep you busy. Try new things or return to activities or hobbies that you once enjoyed.

2. Treat yourself. How about a nice massage?

3. Take a trip. Even a weekend getaway can help soothe the soul.

These three tips could actually change the way parents view their lives. It's possible to divert your attention in doing things that would add good memories in your life if the situation puts sadness in you.
