Would You Like The Theme Party To Be Successful? - Some Recommendations For You

Thursday, March 31, 2011

If you’ve met parents who are planning on the party of their kids, you’ll probably know that the excitement that surrounds all the preparation is palpable. They want their kids to enjoy the party so much. Parents play a big role in the decision making for the kids’ party. For the sake of the kids and the parents, the party should be a blast.

Theme parties are easy to set up on paper, but in reality, they’re difficult to plan. You have to make sure everyone who attends knows about the theme. This means you should have a backup plan just in case someone comes in under dressed. With ample planning, planning a birthday party should be easy for most parents. Here are more things that you need to remember if you’re planning a theme birthday party for kids.

1. Ask the Celebrant

The kids must be able to relate to the theme. Don’t go for old cartoon characters that were popular a decade ago. The theme should also be appropriate for the gender of the celebrant. Perhaps the wisest thing you can do is to ask the celebrant about his opinion. If the celebrant cannot speak yet, it’s better to ask his or her parents.

If there is no preferred theme, you can simply use color to theme up the party. Blue for boys, and pink for girls.

2. Synchronize the Favors With the Theme

A party favor is a must for every kid that attends a party. If it’s a princess party, make sure that the favors contain an element of the theme, even if it’s just the wrapping. Boys should be able to receive a favor too, even if the party is girl-themed. This can be tricky because boys will surely not appreciate a magic wand or a tiara. Make the boys act like princes or escorts of the girls and give them scepters or shields. A crown is also fitting for little boys, as long as the design is not too girly.

3. Nourishing Food for the Party

The party should never lack sustenance in any way. Any party needs good food to work. The menu should also contain food that grownups would enjoy. Grilled food can be an option if the weather allows grilling in the backyard. You can grill hot dogs for the kids and some tenderloin steaks for the parents. You can also serve pies, salads and corn on the cob. Someone can be in charge of distributing drinks.
