You could be attempting to save your child from heartbreak by enlightening them about the truth to the family pet, but you can break it to them carefully that their pet has expired. Its not so straightforward to tell the truth, but your youngster desires to discover how life and death work. Instead, why not teach them that when animals and yes even people, age, they ultimately die, and that is what happened to their beloved friend.
