New Age religion? What? New Age is actually old age in the way of thinking. Is this a violent dogmatic brainless way of thinking? No! New Age could never be a religion.
And if anyone says they have started, or belong to a New Age religion, beware!
Religion has never been a good thing for the human race, on the other hand, spirituality has. There is a big difference! The New Age takes anything that is good and makes sense, ignoring and condemning the ideas of religion and philosophy that have been harmful for the human-race.
The New Age does not stop like religion in one set way of thinking, it is organic in nature and the movement has evolved. The new age investigate continually including science, Quantum physics, and experimentation to gather a greater understanding of spirituality. Science and spirituality both belong together, and it is about time they were put back together.
Ever since ancient times the New Age has been in existence, but not as a New Age religion. It was a time of enlightenment, and acceptance of practically any belief. A way of grasping reality and the universe both through spirituality and science. But it was destroyed by religion, by the Christians, who brought a dogmatic, literalistic belief system to an enlightened empire. At that point the human race plunged into darkness and ignorance for centuries.
Religion puts our world into danger even today, one religion fighting another, living separate from each other, as hated enemies, when there is so much that could unite them.
The only thing that might be close to a community that adopts more of a New Age wha of thinking is through the Unitarian Church, which accepts and communes and loves all people of all religions. The Unitarians make up people of every faith, and worship God as one, under one roof. This is beautiful. This is the way it should be. This is great!
The Unitarians prove that here is more in common between religions, than there is that which separates them, yet religion continues to tear the world apart. If only people would see the similarities not the differences.
The New Age is an attempt to unify all people, but not through a New Age religion, but through discovering the things that unify all of us, not separate us.
We have to understand this if we want to survive into the future. Don't join or start a New Age religion, the time of religion is over. People aren't following the Church like they once did. More and more European church's are turned into art galleries, and restaurants. Religion that does not transform with the perpetual change that is law number one in the Universe are doomed to crumble into dust through entropy, instead of transforming into something truly sublime.
