The world of natural cures and natural medicines might be fairly complicated at times, even for those of us who have used these kinds of products for years.
In spite of everything, where can we go once we need solutions: the internet, a good friend, a book, the gross sales clerk, or that co-worker who you saw sneaking those saw palmetto tablets out throughout lunch. And where did they get their info? And how reliable and dependable is that info anyway?
At least when you go to the doctor he/she appears to be like official in their white lab coat and listens to what you must say before writing that dreaded prescription that seems to be unbelievably expensive and has a list of side effects that leaves your head spinning. Another complicated issue with regards to natural cures and natural medicines is the way they're organized in typical retail outlets. For essentially the most part they're organized as natural cures rather than being organized under benefits.
Even worse: the labeling has the health benefits written in such small print that it takes a pair of binoculars to learn it word for word and how many people wish to take the time to get our glasses out after which pilfer through the dietary supplements searching for what we are looking for.
But it's my perception that for those willing to take the time to better understand natural medicines they are going to be pleasantly surprised.
For instance bilberry is a natural supplement for eye health that has been used fairly effective to improve eye site. There is also some evidence to suggest it is likely to be useful in slowing tough eye conditions like macular degeneration. The truth is pilots in WWII used it to improve their vision while flying. It has other advantages as well and is one of the most under publicized herbs available on the market today.
Another herb that's worth mentioning is St.John's wort which is also thought of to be very safe and has been proven to assist with mild nervousness and depression. St. John's wort is perhaps the most studied of all herbs and is widely out there both singularly and together with other herbs in natural medicines.
