The Most Exciting Treats for Kid's Birthday Party

Monday, May 20, 2013

So it's your child's special day. Surely you want your kiddo to have the most memorable time on his party. And some of the things that make a party a sure blast are good music and entertainment, a nice venue, and some good food. So check out these excellent food ideas your kid and his or her guests will definitely love.

Pizza

Kids rarely if not never, say no to pizza. These treats are great for fussy eaters and those do not like to eat vegetables. You can make home-made pizzas with some healthy toppings kids would love. If you do not have the time for this, you can just order.

Chocolate Fountain

A chocolate fountain brings more fun and excitement to snacking. You can use either brown or white chocolate, or both. The kids would still enjoy it. Your choices are vast when it comes to the snacks you can serve with a chocolate fountain. You can have marshmallows, cookies, fresh fruit slices, dried fruits, bread sticks, bite-sized brownies, and a whole lot more. If you want, you can have a cheese fondue to make it more interesting and serve it with nachos in different flavours.

Mini quiches

Kids love anything that is bite-sized. You can cut out circles of puff pastry you can get from your local store. Then place them in a 12-cup muffin tray. Put some grated cheese, softened onion, and some ham and chopped vegetables. Bake at 180 degrees until brown.

Mini-sausages

Kids surely love mini-sausages. Seeing a plate of these disappear in a matter of seconds is not at all surprising. To make it more interesting, serve them in skewers with marshmallows in various flavours, shapes, and sizes. Or go with the traditional way and serve them in tiny small buns with some mustard and ketchup.

Fun Sandwiches

Keep the fillings simple. Using pastry cutters, cut them into fancy shapes to make them more appealing to the kids. You can make butterfly, flower, star, or heart shaped sandwiches.

Fresh Fruit Art and Cut Outs

Serve fresh fruits the way kids would like them. With fruits like melon or watermelon, cut out some fancy shapes and serve them in skewers. If you want to make it more exciting, you can make a bouquet flowers out of fresh fruits like grapes, strawberries, slices of banana, and mango.

Popcorn Delight

Serve many bowls of popcorn covered with hot and delicious caramel. Serve with different flavours like strawberry, chocolate, cheese, and BBQ.
